The Purpose of the New Wiccan Church - Canada (NWC - Canada) is to preserve, sustain, and cultivate British Traditional Wicca.


The means by which NWC - Canada proposes to accomplish this include, but are not limited to, the following objectives:


a) Providing a communications and mutual aid network among members of British Traditional Wicca;

b) Providing avenues through which member-Elders may share Craft material, oathbound or otherwise, in a secure, licit, and honourable manner;

c) Allowing such members to experience, experiment with, and enjoy the different styles of practice that fall within British Traditional Craft;

d) Encouraging and supporting the teaching of British Traditional Craft and aiding those who teach;

e) Encouraging and supporting any and all public non-oathbound ritual experiences of British Traditional Craft and those who offer such services;

f) Encouraging and supporting the clergy outreach of British Traditional Craft and aiding those who provide clergy outreach in the following, but not limited to, public services: wedding officiant services, hospital clergy ministry, prison/jail clergy ministry, etc.;

g) Preserving and maintaining the heritage of the Member Traditions and promoting study and research in all related fields;

h) Promoting honour and humility, mirth and reverence, and joy in the activities of the members of this association.

To fulfill these goals the NWC - Canada provides assistance, resources, and opportunities for communication to its members, the Wiccan Community, and the general public.


More specifically, the NWC provides:


A public face and voice for British Traditional Wicca, including websites and public presentations.

A point of contact to provide information and expertise to law enforcement concerning Wicca and paganism.

A Code of Ethics, based on the traditional teachings, for practical use. This document codifies agreed-upon standards of conduct for NWC members and provides a framework which the the NWC encourages for use by other Wicca, and pagans as applicable.

A framework within which members may apply for assistance, monetary or otherwise, in pursuing special projects, promoting events and acquiring ritual spaces and other physical property for the promotion of British Traditional Craft.

Certificates and other credentials to aid in British Traditional Wiccans receiving their rights as legal members of the clergy.

A framework for conflict resolution between members, their covens and their traditions. Non-members may also request such assistance from the NWC.

A collection of materials by which coven leaders and other British Traditional Wiccan Elders may reclaim religious writings that they are entitled to, but otherwise have been unable to obtain

A database of British Traditional Wiccan initiates (voluntarily submitted) allowing members of British Traditional Wicca to verify their status of their choice.

Assistance, within our abilities, in efforts to prevent persecution or discrimination on the basis of religious belief and practice.
